It has a smaller opening for the needle to go through and prevents your machine eating the fabric.Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07686641496335692071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4543686749758961576.post-12851084131345390822013-09-02T15:30:46.892+02:002013-09-02T15:30:46.892+02:00Your blocks are looking great!

I too use the starters and enders fabric scraps when I sew to prevent the foot going back into it's resting position against the plate and it also saves lots of thread! :)Chris Dodsley @made by ChrissieDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07850681754516767449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4543686749758961576.post-60646389803588779102013-09-02T10:13:30.315+02:002013-09-02T10:13:30.315+02:00I agree "the journey is the destination"...I agree "the journey is the destination" and I only unpick if my seams are way off what they should be. I also use the scrap fabric at the start trick to stop the machine "eating" my fabric when I begin a seam. Nothing was as straight as it should have been. That is the trouble with FMQ, it is so quick and all the lines bend that you forget how to work in straight lines.

Love,
MuvMuvhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00734374133479479218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4543686749758961576.post-21418948228462476042013-09-01T16:15:39.056+02:002013-09-01T16:15:39.056+02:00I don't see anything wrong with your block cen...I don't see anything wrong with your block centers! For me quilting is a journey - not necessarily a destination.

One thing that might help with the beginning/end of seams is to feed a scrap piece of fabric through before and after the piece you are working on. It helps to keep the thread from jamming up underneath.Kathy Crofoothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12531145192255431983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4543686749758961576.post-604381638836258452013-09-01T04:58:30.300+02:002013-09-01T04:58:30.300+02:00Beautiful little doll quilts, Maartje, and as usua...Beautiful little doll quilts, Maartje, and as usually your FMQ is amazing!
