| All pigs!!!! |
A lot of people in Amsterdam have a nasty flew and it is very busy in the hospital. Little Kate and her mother are ill too and we even need to go to the ER with little Kate. We had to stay and wait very long. The good news is, that when you have to wait long, it is not too serious. Kate was fighting hard when she got an inhalor on her nose and after five minutes she was very tired and felt asleep. So the last five minutes with an inhalator on het nose were easy. Kate is a strong and happy girl and will be better soon. Her mother is ill too. They live a ten minute drive away, so it is possible to help them when they nee help. But it was not possible to sew a lot. So little sewing this week, but I played with EQ and finished some patterns.
In Amsterdam zijn veel griepgevallen en het is druk in het ziekenhuis. Dat is jammer, want dat betekende dat toen mijn dochter met Kate naar de spoedeisende hulp moest, ze heel lang moest wachten. Dat is vervelend, maar betekent gelukkig ook dat het niet al te ernstig is. Ik ben naar mijn dochter toegegaan om haar te helpen en steunen. Toen Kate een inhalator op haar neus kreeg, vocht zo zo hard om er onderuit te komen, dat we haar samen met de verpleegster vast moesten houden. Ze vocht zo hard en werd zo moe dat ze na vijf minuten met kapje op haar neus in slaap viel! Kate is sterk en een vrolijke meid en zal snel beter zijn. Omdat haar moeder ook ziek is ga ik er veel helpen. Fijn dat ze dichtbij wonen.

I found the time to sew a Rapunzel dress for Salijn, the daughter of my eldest daughter. She had to wait too long for the dress, but was very happy with it. She thinks her grandmother can make everything with her sewing machine. She wishes to have a a black cat suit with whaite feet! And of course I had to sew a similar rapunzel dress for Sascha, our eldest granddaughter.
Ik heb wel tijd gevonden om voor Salijn, de dochter van mijn oudste dochter, een Rapunzel jurk te naaien. Ze heeft er lang op moeten wachten, maar was er erg blij mee. Ze denkt dat oma alles met haar naaimachine kan maken en wil nu graag een zwartepoezenpak met witte pootjes en gaatjes voor de ogen! Ze krijgt het gauw en natuurlijk moet mijn andere kleindochter, Sascha, ook een Rapunzel jurk hebben. Genoeg te doen dus.

I did not much quilting last week. Just some threadplaying with metallic thread to make a placemat to team up with my
Wonderfil feather Placemat. It was fun to do some gingko leaves again, but I did not find the time to finish the binding.
Ik heb niet veel gequild de laatste week. Alleen wat gespeeld met metalic garen en een placemat gemaakt die bij mijn Wonderfil metallic veer placemat past. Toch leuk om weer gingko bladeren te naaien. Helaas nog geen tijd gehad voor het afbiezen.

Because I was to much away it was not possible to quilt a lot, But I could play with EQ everywhere with my computer. After the mad cow family patterns I challenged myself to design more farm animals patterns. It is so fun to google for the right 'models'. A pig is not that dififcult to design. Everybody will recognize a pig pattern easily as a pig pattern. But a goat needs to look like a goat and not like a calf or a sheep. After every pattern I ask my husband if he recognizes the animal. If not, I will take another model to design the pattern and starts over again.
Omdat ik te weinig thuis was, zat quilten er niet echt in. Maar ik kan met mijn computer overal met EQ7 spelen. Na de gekkekoeienfamilie-patronen wilde ik meer patronen maken van boerderijdieren. Het is leuk om modellen voor de patronen met google te zoeken. Een patroon van een varken is niet zo moeilijk te ontwerpen. Een varken is makkelijk in een patroon te herkennen, maar een geit moet ook op een geit lijken en niet op een kalf of een schaap. Als mijn man het dier niet herent in het patroon, begin is overnieuw met een ander model.

Next week I will publish patterns of a goat, a rooster and a chicken. The patterns are ready to publish, but I like to sew those animals before publishing. When someone of you wants to test one or more of my patterns for publishing, I would appriciate that.
I will try to sew the patterns with the colors of So Scrappy
RCS16. This moth the colors are brown with some pink and I still have to finish the Januari colors: blue with some purple. It must be fun to sew a lot of blocks on those colors and to see at the end of the year what I can do with those blocks.
Volgende week publiceer ik patronen van een geit, een kip en een haan. De patronen zijn al getekend en zijn klaar om gepubliceerd te worden. Ik ben nu bezig met de patronen te testen en zou het op prijs stel als iemand mijn patronen ook wil testen.
Dit jaar ga ik elke maand wat blokken naaien in de kleuren van SoScrappy RSC16 kleuren. Deze maand is dat bruin met wat rose. Van januari is het blauw met wat paars. Dat heb ik nog niet gedaan.
